A group of ten athletes have arrived in Rabat where they will represent Rwanda in the All-Africa Games scheduled to run from 16-30 August in Morocco, a sport source confirmed Friday to APA in Kigali.
One of the senior members of the the head Rwandan contingent, Christophe Mudahinyuka told APA that 10 athletes have arrived safely in Morocco.
Athletes are from three disciplines which are; beach volleyball players, cycling and athletics have spent close to two weeks in a training camp in Japan.
The following is the delegation of athletes representing Rwanda in the 12th All Africa Games in Morocco:
Beach volleyball Men: Olivier Ntagengwa, Patrick Kavalo Akumuntu,
Women: Bénitha Mukandayisenga and Valentine Munezero.
Cycling: Moise Mugisha, Joseph Areruya, Didier Munyaneza and Jean Claude Nzafashwanayo.
Athletics: Noel Hitimana and Marthe Yankurije.
The Games in Morocco will take place in the cities of Rabat, Sale, Temara, Casablanca, Benslimane and El Jadida.
The 12th edition of the Games will also act as a qualifier for some disciplines to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
