APA – Kigali (Rwanda) – By 2030 Africa will be hosting over 760 million urban dwellers, a figure that represents a 50% surge from 2015. This means there is an urgency to harness the power of technology.
It is against this backdrop that more than 1000 delegates, experts, and industry leaders will gather at Kigali convention center in Rwanda’s capital Kigali (September 6-8) to brainstorm on the immense potential of smart cities to drive sustainable growth, enhance livability, and foster innovation across Africa.
Organisers of the forum confirmed to APA Wednesday that the event will feature about 80 speakers, 49 exhibitors and will also include 25 sessions.
Day 1 will have discussions on; Smart City Governance and Leadership; Financing Smart Cities: Public-Private Sector Partnerships and Investment; Infrastructure and Connectivity; Environmental Resilience and Sustainability;Building Smart Cities in Africa; Virtual Cities, Real Solutions: Exploring the Potential of the Metaverse.
Other areas of discussion will include; Transportation and Mobility; Smart City Innovations and Startups;The Role of AI in Shaping Smart Cities.
