APA – Kigali (Rwanda)- Rwandan President Paul Kagame will pay a working visit to Guinea from 17 to 19 April on the invitation of his Guinean counterpart Col. Mamady Doumbouya, an official source confirmed Monday.
The aim of the visit is to deepen existing relations and strengthen cooperation in areas such as economy, security, agriculture, mining, and culture, it said.
Since 2016, Rwanda and Guinea Conakry signed seven bilateral agreements meant to foster cooperation in different areas.
The agreements seek to remove visa requirements to all diplomatic and service passport holders, as well as issuance of visas to all ordinary passport holders upon arrival in both countries, according to a communiqué.
Speaking then at the occasion, Kagame expressed gratitude to Guinea for its leading role historically in the independence movement, stating that the “Independence of Africa is now irreversible.”
“We look forward to bringing together our African people to work towards the development Africa deserves. What remains is for us to work together for the better future and development of our continent,” the Rwandan leader said.
