APA-Durban (South Africa) South Africa’s King Misuzulu has denied reports that he was hospitalised after being poisoned by unknown persons, according to a video he sent from Eswatini on Monday.
At the weekend, the Zulu nation’s traditional prime minister, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, issued a statement saying the king had been admitted to a hospital in Eswatini after fears that he might have been poisoned.
Howevre, in the video clip that was made available to the press King Misuzulu dismissed the claims that he might have been poisoned, saying he was in good health.
“I was scheduled to do my medical check-ups anyway, which I do from time to time,” Misuzulu said.
He added: “Not because I have been poisoned. I am not poisoned. I am well. I feel 100 percent (okay).”
He said he was happy that everything was functioning well following the medical check-ups.
There was no poison in him, he said.
“So, please, don’t listen to everything that people say,” the young king said.
