According to the ministry, diesel 0.05 percent sulphur has increased by one cent per litre, while the price of diesel 0.005% sulphur remains unchanged, the office said.

The maximum retail price for LP Gas increased by 84c/kg, it said.
According to Energy Minister Jeff Radebe, the main reasons for the increased fuel prices were that the national currency, the rand, on average had strengthened slightly against the US dollar from 14.3871 to 14.1401 rand per dollar.
