President Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed Thulas Nxesi as acting Public Service and Administration, the Presidency announced on Tuesday.
Nxesi will continue to perform his responsibilities as Minister of Employment and Labour, while acting as Minister of Public Service and Administration, the presidency said.
His assignment follows the departure of former Minister of Public Service and Administration, Ayanda Dlodlo, who has been appointed as Executive Director on the board of the World Bank in Washington D.C. in the United States.
Ramaphosa thanked Dlodlo for serving the nation in various leadership positions, including Communications, Home Affairs, State Security and Public Service and Administration portfolios.
The president wished her well in her new responsibility in which she will be one of the three board members representing the interests of 25 African member states.
