To buttress the close brotherly relations between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister has announced the kingdom’s readiness to restore the Islamic Center in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, which was partly gutted by fire last month.
The commitment by the Crown Prince is a token of his enthusiasm and interest in Islamic centers in all brotherly and friendly countries, because of the great role they play in educating the younger generations and spreading tolerance and the message of Islam based on peace, moderation and dialogue, a statement from his office said.
The Islamic Center in the Indonesian capital has an area of 109,435 square meters.
It includes numerous facilities, including a 2,200-square-meter mosque that can accommodate more than 20,000 worshippers, in addition to a study and research center and a convention hall.
