Senegal’s Customs said in a statement on Wednesday that they had seized 238 kg of cocaine at Mole 1 of the Autonomous Port of Dakar.
The capture took place at 2:30 am “on 4 vehicles in a batch of 24 new Renault cars on a boat from the Port of Paranagua (Brazil) and bound for Luanda in Angola,” the statement said.
“The drug is certified to be cocaine by the competent services,” the statement said, adding that “the Dog Customs Team continues investigations on the spot and the procedure is underway to comb through all the vehicles of the batch.”
