Senegal has officially announced its participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, marking a significant step in its economic development and international promotion strategy.
The announcement was made on Wednesday, March 26th, in Dakar.
The global event, themed “Designing the Society of the Future for Our Lives,” will offer Senegal a key platform to showcase its expertise, investment opportunities, and commitment to sustainable and inclusive development.
The launch ceremony, hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in partnership with the Senegalese Export Promotion Agency (ASEPEX) and the Agency for the Promotion of Investments and Major Projects (APIX), brought together government officials, diplomats, economic organizations, and businesses. Discussions focused on the strategic implications and opportunities for Senegal.
Senegal aims to highlight its potential in sectors like agriculture, renewable energy, infrastructure, digital technology, and innovation. The Senegalese pavilion will showcase major achievements and flagship initiatives in economic and industrial transformation.
Expo 2025 Osaka is seen as a unique chance to enhance Senegal’s global attractiveness, solidify its role as a West African economic hub, and forge strategic partnerships. This participation is expected to boost trade and promote Senegal as a prime destination for business and innovation.
Stakeholders emphasized their commitment to a successful representation, reflecting the country’s ambitions. They also stressed the need for collective mobilization to maximize the economic and diplomatic benefits and strengthen Senegal’s position as an emerging nation.
