Over 7 million voters are eligible to cast their ballots on Sunday, March 24th.
Shortened Campaign, High Stakes
Originally planned for 21 days, the campaign was condensed by President Macky Sall’s decree on March 7th. This came after the rejection of a proposed June 2nd election date.Despite protests, the Constitutional Council upheld the March 24th date and 15-day campaign duration.
