It gave Sall 58.26 percent of the vote, against 58.27 percent as announced on 28 February by the National Vote Counting Commission (CNRV).
President Sall, who was the candidate of the “Benno Bokk Yakaar” coalition, was followed by Idrissa Seck with 899,556 votes (20.51 percent) and Ousmane Sonko who bagged 687,523 votes (15.67 percent of the votes), Issa Sall with 178,613 votes (4.07 percent) and Madické Niang with 65,021 votes, representing 1.48 percent of the votes.
According to the Constitutional Council, the voter turnout stood at 66.27 percent out of 4,428,680 registered voters and there were 42,541 invalid ballots for 4,386,139 valid votes cast.
The poll was supervised by 5002 foreign and domestic observers from 14 observation missions accredited by the Interior Ministry.
