Led by the Investment and Major Works Promotion Agency (APIX), the B-Ready workshops will bring together government officials and private sector representatives to discuss and implement measures aimed at enhancing the business climate.
Bakary Sega Bathily, CEO of APIX, emphasized the importance of this assessment, stating, “This workshop marks a crucial stage in our process to make the necessary adjustments before the start of this B-Ready rating.”
The government aims to redefine and strengthen the public-private partnership to create a globally competitive business environment. After a decade of reforms under the Business Environment and Competitiveness Reform Program (PREAC), the government is now evaluating the program’s impact and seeking feedback from businesses to inform future policies.
Bathily highlighted the need for a trust-based relationship between the government and the private sector. “This assessment is an opportunity to step back, conduct a rigorous analysis of our business environment and identify the performance levers on which we need to act,” he said.
The government is seeking input from the private sector to ensure that the reforms are effective and address the challenges faced by businesses. By involving the private sector in the process, the government hopes to create a business environment that supports innovation, economic growth, and social justice.
