Senegal’s National Assembly is finalising preparations for Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko’s policy statement scheduled for December 27.
National Assembly Speaker Malick Ndiaye chaired a coordination meeting with the administration and security services on Monday to organise this major event in Senegalese political life.
On this occasion, MPs tested the new electronic voting system that will be used during the session. This modernisation aims to speed up and secure voting procedures in the chamber.
The Prime Minister’s Office team participated in the technical tests and toured the facilities.
Ndiaye called for close collaboration between the services of Parliament and those of the Prime Minister to ensure the smooth running of the session.
