The Senegalese National Assembly will hold a plenary session on Saturday to discuss the 2025 Finance Bill and elect members of the High Court of Justice.
According to a statement released Friday by the Directorate of Communication, the agenda includes the examination of the 2025 Finance Bill starting at 10 a.m. in accordance with Article 86, Paragraph 6, of the Senegalese Constitution.
At 12 p.m., MPs will elect members of the High Court of Justice, marking a significant step in the country’s institutional process.
This session follows Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko’s General Policy Declaration delivered to lawmakers, during which he announced the imminent repeal of the amnesty law enacted by the previous legislature under the former regime’s proposal.
