The Senegalese Head of State departed Dakar on Wednesday morning, beginning his official visit to the UAE, which will run from December 4 to 6 at the invitation of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. This visit follows a preparatory meeting with Sheikh Shakhboot, the UAE Minister of State for Relations with Africa.
Ahead of the trip, President Faye welcomed the Emirati envoy, who reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening friendship and cooperation with Senegal. The two nations are currently collaborating in key sectors such as infrastructure, port and airport management, renewable energy, and regional security.
After concluding his visit to the Emirates, President Faye will head to Qatar for the Doha Forum, which takes place from December 6 to 8, at the invitation of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar. This international forum will address significant global issues, including governance, security, and sustainable development.
The Communication Department of the Senegalese Presidency emphasizes the significance of these trips as part of a broader strategy to enhance Senegal’s international presence and diversify its diplomatic partnerships.
