Sierra Leone is set to host the 41st West African Insurance Companies Association’s Annual General Meeting and Education Conference, APA learnt in Freetown on Friday.
The three day confab is scheduled to commence on April 24 and end on April 26, according to a statement from the Sierra Leone chapter of the association.
President Julius Maada Bio will deliver the keynote address at the opening session of the meeting which will be held on the theme: ‘Insurance Production, Distribution and Marketing in a Challenging and Competitive Economy”.
The statement said risk is concomitant to life and therefore insurance is the life blood of the economy.
According to the schedule, the program is expected to kick off with a cocktail on April 24 and the grand opening ceremony the following day.
Participants will be drawn from the five English-Speaking West African countries that make up the association – Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria and the host country.
