Sierra Leone’s year-on-year inflation stood at 10.87% in February, down from 11.50% in January, according to a press release published on Monday by Statistics Sierra Leone.
The prices of clothing and footwear (2.43%), health (11.63%) and communication (5.38%) declined in February.
However, the prices of food and non-alcohol beverage (0.71%), alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotic (5.52%), housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (3.77%), furniture, household equipment (7.01%), transport (3.54%), recreation and culture (0.18%), restaurant and hotels (3.03%), and miscellaneous goods and services (3.12%) increased over the period. The prices of education were stable.
