The launch takes place at the Juba 1 Boys School to be presided over by the country’s Minister of Education.
The new textbooks were developed by the Ministry of General Education and Instruction (MOGEI) and are based on the new curriculum.
“Tomorrow is a significant day for the education sector of this country as it will adopt and launch South Sudan’s first national textbooks, covering all grades of school education” a statement by the ministry said. The new curriculum is the first to be adopted since South Sudan attained independence from Sudan in July 2011.
