En emergency court in Khartoum has jailed on Monday 4 protesters 6 months each, for taking part in demonstration ,lawyers said.
Last month, President Omer al-Bashir imposed national state of emergency banning rallies and gathering in respond to wide nation protests against his 30-year rule.
Democratic Alliance of Sudan lawyers who defended the protesters at emergency courts said the court has jailed the four for “violating emergency orders”. “The same court also convinced (4) other protesters but handed them to their families because of their young age” , it added in a statement.
The alliance is part from Sudanese professional association ,who has been organizing the national protests in Sudan to remover al-Bashir from power. Tens reportedly jailed under the emergency law for taking part in the banned protests.
