Sudanese state news agency reported on Tuesday that the meeting which held in the city of Rosires in Blue Nile State, also recommended joint trainings, coordination, and organization and exchanges of information about outlaws on the border.
It was attended by commanders of the Sudanese army’s second infantry division and Ethiopian’s 22th.
This was within the framework of a program of joint meetings between the Sudanese and Ethiopian military forces.
The governor of Blue Nile, General Yahya Mohamed Al-khair was quoted as saying the “the joint meeting represents a unique and distinct experience in field of borders security”.
The Ethiopian commander, who represented his country’s side in the discussion, pointed to the importance of exchange information about criminals on the border and the implementation of joint agreements between the two countries.
