Six soldiers allegedly involved in the failed coup attempt in Gabon on Monday face life imprisonment, announced the public prosecutor, Olivier N’zahou, without indicating the charges against the reported mutineers.

The government in Gabon says the situation in the country has normalised and its loyal forces have since arrested the leader of Monday’s abortive coup who was on the run.
