The Burkinabe head of state has praised the courage of the combat units of the Barsalogho detachment, in the
Centre-North, considering the defense and security forces (FDS) close to defeating terrorism.
Captain Ibrahim Traore went, Tuesday, December 10, 2024, “by road” to Barsalogho and Gabou, in the Centre-North, to encourage the Combatant Forces, reported the Presidency of Faso.
During this visit, he appreciated the work done by the defense and security forces in securing the area.
“It is a pride to serve this country in these circumstances. One thing is certain, you will win. Terrorism is dying,” Captain Traore assured them.
At the Gabou detachment, he gave the same speech of encouragement and recognition to the soldiers.
“You were engaged in a very complicated area, but you delivered. Thanks to your struggle, the populations are able to get out. That is what makes the soldier happy,” he told members of this detachment.
The commander of the detachment expressed his gratitude to the head of state for this visit which boosts the morale of his elements. “For us, it is a joy to receive the President of Faso on the eve of Independence Day,” the commander of the detachment said triumphantly.
It was from the town of Barsalogho that the Burkinabe junta leader addressed the nation on Independence Day.
