Building on this momentum, the government has set an ambitious target of doubling production again to reach 50,000 tons by 2030. To achieve this goal, the government is implementing various strategies to improve coffee cultivation, processing, and marketing.
In addition to coffee, Togo’s cocoa sector has also experienced growth. During the 2022-2023 campaign, cocoa exports increased by 63% compared to the previous year, reaching 9,000 tons.
By investing in sustainable agriculture practices, improving infrastructure, and supporting local cooperatives, Togo aims to position itself as a significant player in the global coffee and cocoa markets.
