The UAE through its embassy in Khartoum has distributed over 100 tonnes of foodstuffs to some 20,000 people across the various cities of Sudan’s Kassala province.
The embassay said in a statement on Wednesday that the gesture is part of the assistance package from Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, wife of the Crown Prince of Fujairah.
The humanitarian aid was distributed by the Emirates Red Crescent.
The beneficiaries expressed their appreciation to the UAE and the ERC delegation, praising the country’s leadership for standing with Sudan.
