The team that left yesterday night is headed by the Director Police Health Services, Dr Moses Byaruhanga, a Pathologist, with vast experience in handling identification processes of victims.
The team also comprises Okello James Gregory, a brother to the late and. Alvin Asiimwe, the second son to the deceased.
The sibling and sons of the late commissioner will help in availing DNA samples, if necessary, to aid in finding a match to the body remains of the late, among those that could have been recovered.
In Addis Ababa, the team will be received by Rwego Xervir of Interpol African Union and jointly work closely with the Forensic experts, tasked with the identification and recovery of the human remains of the victims.
On Monday after the Sunday plane crash Uganda Police confirmed that the Ugandan who was on board the ill-fated Ethiopian airline was the Commissioner Alalo Christine, who was working with the African Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), as the Acting Police Commissioner.
According to police the officer was returning from Italy to Mogadishu Somalia.
At the time of her death, Alalo Christine was serving as the Acting Police Commissioner, AMISOM, and her tour of duty was expected to end in June, 2019.
