Mor Talla Diop of Senegal has been re-elected as rapporteur of the United Nations e-Business Centre (CEFACT) for sub-Saharan Africa.
A Senior Executive Director of Gaïndé 2000 – a Senegalese company specializing in trade facilitation – in charge of Business Development and International Affairs, Diop had held the position since April 2019.
He was re-elected for two years (2021-2023) at the 27th CEFACT Session held on April 19 in Geneva, Switzerland.
As rapporteur, Mor Talla Diop is responsible for monitoring the implementation of CEFACT recommendations in the region, Gaïndé 2000 explained in a statement.
The United Nations e-Business Centre defines norms and standards for electronic commerce, but it also produces recommendations for trade facilitation.
