A Maputo-based entertainment publicist, BDQ Concertos has announced that the concert of the American musician, songwriter and singer Michael Bolton, initially scheduled for August in Maputo, Mozambique has been postponed to the first quarter of next year.
“The postponement, is due to the public pressure for the musician to hold two concerts in the Mozambican capital and not just play at a gala dinner, as was originally planned , which shocks the singer’s agenda”, reads a BDQ Concertos statement seen by APA on Tuesday.
The publicist added that the intention led to negotiations with the artist for a second concert, which was not viable in the face of his agenda and other aspects of a technical nature.
So the idea was to move the gala dinner and show for the first quarter of 2020.
Michael Bolton is regarded as one of the most successful singers of all time.
Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter, Michael Bolton, toured South Africa in February this year as part of his 115 city, world tour aimed at saluting and paying tribute to women.
BDQ Concertos, promoter of the “Moments of Jazz” platform, will bring to Maputo the British band Dire Straits in October to perform in two concerts.
The first show, in a gala, will take place on October 11 at the multipurpose hall of the International Conference Center Joaquim Chissano, and the other at the Eduardo Mondlane University Campus the following evening.
One of the most important bands in the history of music, especially the rock style, Dire Straits comes to Mozambique without vocalist and guitarist Mark Knopfler, who is no longer part of the group, but promises the same energy, strength and talent that still characterize
