With a message of continental renaissance, Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye took the stage at the 22nd Doha Forum on Saturday, reaffirming the ambition of an African continent “without complexes” amidst diplomatic and strategic change.
The Senegalese leader is currently in Qatar where he was attending the 22nd Doha Forum on Saturday 7 December.
Addressing world leaders on international issues, President Faye defended the image of “a Senegal and an Africa free of complexes, young, ambitious and resolutely open to the world.”
Invited to speak by moderator Ghida Fakhry, the Senegalese head of state used the global platform to share his views on current global issues.
”Our continent holds the promise of a future built on resilience, creativity and determination,” he said.
His participation is part of a series of international exchanges enabling Senegal to take part in debates on contemporary global issues.
The Doha Forum, a diplomatic event that brings together international leaders and experts, provides a platform for exchange and dialogue between different regions of the world.
