The “Zambia Economic Week” features a series of events designed to showcase a variety of Zambian sectors attractive for investment and partnership. Strategic meetings planned in Rabat, Casablanca, and Laayoune will bring together Zambian delegates and key Moroccan players.
The program includes discussions with public institutions, private companies, and key industry associations like the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and sectoral federations. Additionally, working sessions are planned with the Moroccan Banking Association (GPBM), Casablanca Finance City (CFC) and its network, and the Laayoune Regional Investment Center (CRI).
This initiative falls under the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ broader strategy to strengthen economic ties across Africa. The Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI) plays a central role, collaborating with partners like CGEM, GPBM, CFC, and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE).
The ultimate goal is to create mutually beneficial partnerships between Moroccan and Zambian companies. The program kicked off with a meeting between AMCI’s Director General and a high-level Zambian delegation led by the Director General of the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA). This delegation, including representatives from the Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI) and other public and private sector officials, aims to solidify economic ties between the two nations.
