The son of former Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe has been arrested over allegations of destroying cars and other property during a party on Sunday at a friend’s house in the capital Harare.
Robert Mugabe junior appeared in court on Monday facing charges of malicious damage to property.
According to the police he was arrested following a complaint from his friend, Sindiso Nkatazo who accused him of damaging property valued at more than US$12,000.
Robert junior is the second child of the former Zimbabwean strongman who was deposed from power in November 2017 and died in September 2019.
