Zimbabwe’s largest media house Zimbabwe Newspapers (Zimpapers) has entered into a partnership with APO Group under which Zimpapers will publish content distributed by the pan-African communication service.
Zimpapers announced on Wednesday that the partnership would enable it to simultaneously publish across all its 15 news sites the text, images, videos and soundbites distributed by APO.
“We are delighted to be working with APO Group to bring a rich feed of quality news content to people all over Zimbabwe,” Zimpapers group chief executive Pikirayi Deketeke said.
He noted that by securing free, simultaneous publication of the news on all of its websites, Zimpapers would “be among the first media to break some of the biggest stories in African business, news and sport.”
APO’s content feed includes news from more than 300 multinational companies operating in Africa, along with major international institutions, sporting organizations, and African governments.
The state-owned Zimpapers operates 15 news outlets across the print, broadcast and online spectrum, with its flagship being The Herald.
