Zimbabwe will tour Sri Lanka next month for a three-match one-day international (ODI) cricket series, according to a schedule released by Sri Lanka Cricket on Tuesday.
The Zimbabweans are expected to arrive in Sri Lanka on 10 January 2022, with their first match scheduled for the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy on 16 January.
This will be followed by two other ODI matches on 18 and 21 January at the same venue.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the matches will be played behind closed doors, the organisers said.
This will be the first time the two sides will be playing against each other in the ODI format since January 2018.
A spirited Zimbabwe side came from behind to win the five-match ODI series 3-2 against their fancied Asian opponents three years ago.
