APA-Pretoria (South Africa) One of the sons of former South African president Jacob Zuma has formed a new party known as All-Game Changers that will contest in this year’s general elections, according to state media reports monitored here.
Duduzane Zuma told the state-run South African Broadcasting Corporation that he has cut ties with the ruling African National Congress (ANC) and would lead the All-Game Changers into polls set for May or June this year.
“The ANC, its former leaders, and current leaders have played their role. There is a lot of rejuggling and reshuffling, and we do not have time for that,” the young Zuma told the broadcaster on Wednesday.
He said the ANC was clearly failing to advance the country farther and there was need for young and vibrant leaders.
“We love you guys. You have played your part. But it’s time to get off the dance floor.”
Commenting on his father’s endorsement of the recently formed uMkhonto weSizwe party, Duduzane Zuma said the two of them had agreed to respect each other’s political paths.
