Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita received, on Tuesday in Rabat, Algerian Justice Minister Abderrachid Tebbi, who was sent by Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the Moroccan Sovereign.
On this occasion, the Algerian president’s envoy handed over a letter of invitation to King Mohammed VI to attend the Arab Summit, scheduled to take place in Algiers on November 1 and 2, a Foreign Ministry statement said.
It should be recalled that as part of the preparation of the next summit of the Arab League, the Algerian authorities have decided to send several emissaries to Arab capitals, bearing invitations to all heads of state of member countries of the Arab organization.
Relations between Morocco and Algeria are very tense. The regime in Algiers has unilaterally broken off diplomatic relations with the Kingdom, closed its airspace and stopped the supply of the Maghreb-Europe gas pipeline that ran through Morocco.
