The government of Botswana has signed an agreement with CCI Global, a leading business process outsourcing (BPO) provider based in the United Arab Emirates.
The partnership aims to position Botswana as a regional leader in business outsourcing operations and marks a pivotal step towards diversifying the country’s economy.
The agreement was signed by President Duma Boko and CCI Global chief executive Martin Roe, highlighting both parties’ commitment to fostering economic growth through job creation and digital transformation.
Boko reaffirmed the government’s commitment to developing new industries and generating sustainable employment for the citizens of Botswana, underscoring this as a top priority for his administration.
Roe noted that “with its stable political environment, highly educated and multilingual workforce, and competitive cost structure, Botswana presents significant advantages for BPO operations.”
“Through this investment, CCI Global is positioning Botswana as a regional outsourcing leader, driving growth and innovation in the sector,” Roe said.
The company’s entry into Botswana represents one of its major initiatives on the African continent, promising thousands of skilled job opportunities across various sectors including customer support, data entry, IT services, and digital marketing.
The focus will be on engaging youth and enhancing career development within the rapidly evolving digital economy.
Roe noted that the new hub would leverage government-backed incentives and robust infrastructure development to attract further foreign investment.
This initiative is expected to act as a catalyst for growth within the emerging BPO sector while reinforcing the government’s priority of developing new industries for sustainable employment.
