Several delegations from all over the world are expected at this major event so that they can discover the countless investment opportunities that Burundi has to offer.
Under the auspices of the Head of State, Evariste Ndayishimiye, Burundi will host a Round Table from December 5 to 6, 2024 for the mobilisation of resources and private investments aimed at achieving the Vision Burundi emerging country in 2040 and developed country in 2060.
During this major event, indicates a note received by APA, the government of Burundi intends to share its vision in terms of socio-economic development as well as the reforms envisaged and underway with all potential sources of external and private financing.
Furthermore, the organisation of the round table aims to share the main orientations of the Vision 2040-2060, present the Revised National Development Plan 2018-2027, its Priority Action Plan, as well as the financial resources necessary for its implementation.

“We went to America, Asia, Europe, and some African countries to mobilize different investors,” revealed the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Albert Nshingiro during a programme broadcast on Burundi National Television.
The round table will allow to gather the points of view and obtain the support of development partners and private investors on the government’s reform programmes, their roadmaps and implementation schedules, and to promote the manifestation of commitments by the announcement and confirmation of financing intentions by the latter.
The exceptional Round Table will not only be an opportunity to discover reforms to improve the business climate in Burundi, but also to present investment opportunities in the sectors of agriculture, energy, health, tourism, ICT, mining and financial sectors and industry.
