The captain of Cameroon’s Lionesses, Naomie Eto, is leaving the Armed Forces and Police (FAP) of Yaoundé to join relegation-threatened Guingamp in the French top tier.
Her transfer, announced by CAF, is for a six-month contract with the Breton club.
Trained at the Roger Milla Academy, the young player distinguished herself at the U-20 Women’s World Cup in 2024 in Colombia, where she scored four goals.
Her main mission will be to help her new club stay in the first division.
Facing great difficulty in the Women’s Ligue 1, ‘En Avant Guingamp’ currently sit at the bottom of the standings locked in a fight against relegation.
