Cameron’s Port of Kribi (PAK) has unveiled a revenue worth 15 billion CFA francs.
The revenue comes from various proceeds including the registration of 330 ship calls, 200,000 containers and 423,000 tons of timber handled, according to a statement released by PAK on Thursday.
“Between March 2018 and March 2019, the Port of Kribi recorded 330 ship calls, 200,000 containers and 423,000 tonnes of timber handled,” the statement said.
According to Patrice Melom, the General Manager of the PAK, “in view of what is happening on the ground, we are entitled to expect even better results this year.”
Transhipment accounts for 95 percent of the activities of this port complex with three terminals, including the multi-purpose and container terminals.
The general management and port operators consider that, for this first year of operation, the balance sheet is generally satisfactory.
