The Chadian Head of State is on a 48-hour official visit to Egypt at the invitation of President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sissi.
General Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, President of the Transitional Military Council (TMC) of Chad, arrived Tuesday afternoon in the Egyptian capital Cairo.
He was accompanied by the Head of Diplomacy, Mahamat Zène Chérif, the Minister Delegate at the Presidency of the Republic, in charge of Defence, Daoud Yaya Brahim and some of his close collaborators.
Discussing the state of relations between the two countries with the Egyptian Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Dr. Al Sayed Ali Al Massalhi, the son of the late President Idriss Deby Itno welcomed the exemplary nature of this cooperation, which covers several areas. These include infrastructure, higher education and health, etc.
General Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno is due to meet his Egyptian counterpart Abdel-Fattah Al-Sissi on Wednesday 5 January.
