The Republic of Congo will officially launch its licensing round for open oil and gas blocks during the Congo Energy and Investment Forum (CEIF) set to take place on March 25-26 in Brazzaville.
Preparations are currently underway to finalize the necessary regulatory framework, according to Bruno Jean-Richard Itoua, the Minister of Hydrocarbons.
This initiative is part of broader government efforts to boost hydrocarbon production and diversify revenue streams amid global oil price fluctuations, as outlined in a note received by APA late Tuesday.
Despite the volatility of international markets, the government is focused on advancing major projects, such as the Congo LNG project on the Marine XII permit and the Banko Kayo gas monetization program.
The inaugural Congo Energy and Investment Forum will bring together international investors and local stakeholders to explore national and regional opportunities in energy and infrastructure.
The event will highlight the latest gas-to-power transformation projects and provide updates on ongoing expansions across the country.
