The devastating storm accompanied by heavy rains tore through the region after making landfall in Mozambique last week Thursday.
More than 1.5 million have been displaced, while hundreds others have been reported missing.
The presidency said Geingob, who is also the Chairperson of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), has learned with sadness the devastation by the tropical storm that caused flooding in the three SADC member states.
“I appeal to member states in SADC to stand in solidarity with the people of Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi, and see how our sister countries can be assisted.
“The Namibian government will provide quantities of fish as part of the relief contribution, and I call on the public and the business community to offer assistance to our brothers and sisters who are affected by this unbearable natural disaster,” President Geingob said.
The President of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi is quoted as saying fatalities from the tropical cyclone and flooding could exceed 1000.
