“I can admit having spoken to both leaders in separate meetings, but all what have been discussed seems to be a confidential issue,” Mr Tshisekedi said during his intervention at the closing session of the Africa CEO Forum that took place from 25 to 26 March in the Rwandan capital Kigali.
The reaction by the Congolese President comes after Rwandan President Paul Kagame publicly accused Uganda of mistreating his compatriots travelling to that country.
Speaking at the opening session of the forum earlier Monday, Mr Kagame explained that even Rwandan diplomats in Kampala cannot visit the arrested Rwandans because “they are held in places that are not known.”
It was the fourth time that Rwanda has openly accused Uganda of sabotaging trade with its neighbour, in addition to mistreating Rwandans in Uganda.
Foreign minister, Richard Sezibera has earlier charged that Kampala sabotages trade by frustrating the conveyance of goods transiting through Uganda to Rwanda.
Rwanda has also issued a travel advisory ‘strongly advising’ its citizens not to travel to Uganda, because of ‘ongoing arrests, harassment, torture, incarceration without consular access’.
