Held at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Center in Manzini, the EITF has become a key platform for businesses and agriculture in the kingdom.
This year’s edition is expected to attract over 500,000 visitors and feature more than 250 exhibitors showcasing their products and services. Organizers anticipate the fair generating millions of euros in economic activity and presenting business opportunities valued at an estimated 150 million euros.
The theme for the 2024 EITF is “Accelerating Business Growth through Digital Transformation,” reflecting the growing importance of digitalization in today’s business landscape. This commitment is evident in the introduction of the EITF Application, allowing online exhibitor registration and payment, eliminating paper forms and driving sustainability.
“Digital transformation is no longer optional, but essential for businesses to thrive globally,” stated Eswatini’s Minister of Industry and Trade, Manqoba Khumalo. The government fully supports initiatives like e-commerce platforms and electronic payment systems, fostering intra-African trade and enabling Eswatini to capitalize on the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).
A partnership with a Taiwanese company for the development of BuyEswatini.com, a dedicated e-commerce platform for local products, further underscores this commitment.
The Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) has introduced a new slogan for the event: CONNECT | CREATE | GROW. This slogan embodies the EITF’s mission to connect local and international companies, generate innovative business opportunities, and propel economic growth.
“The EITF is more than just a trade fair; it’s a catalyst for the future of Eswatini’s economy,” emphasized Minister Khumalo.
With preparations underway, organizers urge businesses to secure exhibition space. Sponsorships and partnerships are crucial for the EITF’s success, with commitments already secured for free Wi-Fi and the popular Win-A-Car competition.
Eswatini’s increasing openness to international trade positions the EITF as a cornerstone of this development. As Minister Khumalo concluded, “Eswatini is open for business, and we are ready to welcome the world to this fair.”
