A multi-million-euro loan from the United Kingdom is solidifying the Guinean President’s project aimed at modernising the country’s administration as part of the Simandou 2040 program.
This marks a turning point in Guinean-British cooperation.
The Guinean government, led by General Mamadi Doumbouya, is taking a decisive step in its administrative modernisation project with the signing of a financing agreement with UK Export Finance.
Located in Koloma, in the suburbs of Conakry, this 71,306 m² administrative complex will include a dozen seven-story buildings, modern infrastructure, and landscaping.
Financed at 95% by the British government, for a total cost of 208 million euros, the project aims to streamline the Guinean administration and decongest the Kaloum district.
The construction work, already 39.1% complete, marks a turning point in Guinean-British cooperation and illustrates the President’s ambition for modernization.
