With this new customer relationship centre, the company will have 1,800 employees in the country of Teranga (hospitality, in Wolof language).
The Intelcia Group continues its expansion in sub-Saharan Africa. After Dakar and Thies, 70km apart, the Moroccan company is opening a second centre in the Senegalese capital, creating over 600 jobs.
“The opening of a third Intelcia site in Senegal confirms the attractiveness of our country in the field of outsourcing in general and customer relationship management in particular. It also reveals the growth potential that a group such as Intelcia sees in our country, both in terms of infrastructure and human capital. We can therefore only be delighted with this opening and the choice of Intelcia’s leaders,” said the Minister of Digital Economy and Telecommunications, Yankhoba Diattara.
According to him, this new facility has a positive impact on the economic development of the country through the investments made and the jobs generated.
For his part, the CEO and co-founder of Intelcia, Karim Bernoussi, said that the commitment of his group in Senegal was based on the Plan Sénégal Emergent (PSE) whose ambition was both economic, social and human development.
Mr. Bernoussi disclosed that “Intelcia is the first employer of the Senegalese community in Morocco with more than 1400 employees. Hassane Nasri, Moroccan ambassador to Senegal, lauded the exemplary cooperation between Dakar and Rabat: “(This new site) is an example of what His Majesty King Mohammed VI has always wanted and done to make African integration a reality.”
Intelcia is present in three countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, including Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire and Cameroon. By the end of 2022, the number of its employees in the region should increase to nearly 5000.
The Moroccan group, which currently employs 35,000 people worldwide, has managed in 20 years to establish itself in 16 countries and on 3 continents. Intelcia’s management expects to increase the company’s turnover to 1.5 billion euros in three years.
