King Abdullah II of Jordan met with visiting Rwandan President Paul Kagame in the Jordanian capital Amman, an official source revealed Thursday in Kigali.

Prior to the meeting, the heads of state held a bilateral meeting, according to the statement issued by the President’s Office in Kigali.
“Today’s bilateral meeting discussed enhancing ongoing areas of cooperation between Jordan and Rwanda,” the Presidency said in a tweet.
The Aqaba Process is an initiative launched in 2015 in the Jordanian city of the same name by the King of Jordan, Abdullah II, to strengthen international cooperation against violent extremism and terrorism.
It said that the pandemic of COVID-19 has highlighted vulnerabilities to emerging threats such as bioterrorism and cyber-attacks on critical infrastructure.
