APA – Kigali (Rwanda) – A former captain of Rwandan topflight military side, APR FC, Thierry Manzi was unveiled as a new player for Libyan first league club Al Ahli Tripoli, APA can report from Kigali on Sunday.
Manzi, 27 is the second Rwandan player to be recruited by the Libyan club after Bonheur Mugisha a.k.a “Casemiro” who will also be playing in the Libyan Premier League next season.
The Rwandan defender join Al Ahli Tripoli after his six-month deal with AS Kigali expired at the end of the season.
In July 2021, Manzi joined FC Dila Gori team of Georgia in the first division in Europe where he spent only six months.
Later on, he joined Moroccan topflight giant AS FAR Rabat before returning back to Rwanda last year.
Ever since no team expressed interest in him until AS Kigali signed him.
Manzi played for different local clubs like Marine FC, Rayon Sports where he lifted the national league trophies of 2016/2017 and 2018/2019.
