A lioness has escaped from a container and is on the loose in South Africa’s North West province, the police warned on Thursday.
The lioness is said to have escaped while being transported on the back of a truck.
“Community members are warned that a lioness escaped from her container whilst in transit on the Beesdam Road between Stella and Tlagameng on 22 February,” the South African Police Service.
It is believed that the owner only realising it after reaching the destination.
