The Maroc Telecom’s subscriber base has reached more than 74 million customers in 2021, thus registering an increase of 1.8 percent, the group said in a statement on its consolidated results as of December 31, 2021.
According to the statement, this increase is driven particularly by the growth of the customer base of subsidiaries.
The mobile subscriber base reached 19.9 million customers, up 2.1 percent year-on-year, the statement said.
The fixed-line customer base fell by 1.7 percent to almost two million lines at the end of 2021.
As for the broadband customer base, it has 1.7 million subscribers, with the expansion of the FTTH customer base (+47 percent) largely offsetting the loss of ADSL customers.
Internationally, the mobile customer base reached 50,130,000 customers, spread over Cote d’Ivoire (10,489,000), Burkina Faso (10,457,000), Mali (8,163,000), Chad (5,138,000), Benin (5,132,000), Niger (3,212,000), Mauritania (2,985,000), Togo (2,687,000), Gabon (1,656,000) and the Central African Republic (210,000).
