The Moroccan Minister of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water, Abdelkader Amara has held a videoconference with his Spanish counterpart, José Luis Abalos during which both officials made a commitment to strengthen maritime cooperation.
During the meeting, talks focused on ways to expand bilateral cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, land and maritime transport and logistics.
To this end, a draft technical memorandum of understanding was finalized by the two parties, according to a press release issued by the Moroccan Ministry of Equipment, Transport and Logistics.
Both parties expressed the wish to further develop bilateral cooperation in the fields of road infrastructure, international road transport and maritime transport.
They also reiterated their willingness to work towards strengthening cooperation between Moroccan and Spanish ports, the revival of the project of permanent link through the Gibraltar Strait as well as railway cooperation, the statement added.
